We're back in action at Manaia!!!

Well the holidays have flown by and we are back at Kindergarten enjoying sharing our holiday stories and beginning our new term of learning at Manaia. It has been VERY hot and we have been cooling down in our togs with water play. Check out our photos of our first few days back at Kindergarten. We look forward to a year of exciting and challenging learning and invite you all to keep up with what is happening through our blog. We would love you to leave comments. Thanks.

Welcome Back!! We have missed you. We think it's interesting that you have been having very HOT weather; because we have been having SUPER COLD weather. It's snowing as we type! We have had temperatures below zero (brrr!). The winds have been blowing at 50 miles per hour.
We hope you liked your vacation. And we're so glad you are back!

Awwwww I can't wait to get into the WATER!! You guys look like you are having such fun in the sun and the heat - what great ideas you all have for getting WET!! I can see you have started the year with new plans and you are getting right into them. I look forward to seeing you next week when I pop in. If the weather is STILL this hot feel free to squirt me with water too!!
Miss you all heaps.
Love, Beverly
PS Check out my helicopter movie on my blog. Will put it up tomorrow sometime. Working on it a little each day.

Liam, what a great first week you had back at Kindergarten. It’s great we have a camera at kindergarten to capture all those special moments during the week, we have been building water fountains in the sand pit, being Firemen and Deer Hunters and playing in the sandpit shell. My favourite part of the whole week happened on the first day, when you brought a big smile to my face and gave me a memory I will never forget.

You and Mac came running up to me and asked me could you have the net, where all the balls are kept. I wondered what you and Mac were planning. Then I thought, mmmmhhhh, are they going play Deer Hunters, just like in Liam’s Daddy’s video of the pioneer days of Helicopter Deer Hunters. Once I got all the balls out of the net I asked you what you were planning to do with the net. You could barely contain yourself and burst into a giggle and said “Were going to catch Aimee” and you both ran off in search of Aimee. However, I don’t think you and Mac planned on Aimee being such a fast runner! All morning I watched as you tried different ways to catch Aimee, but no luck, Aimee was too fast and too smart for the “Deer Hunters”. Aimee ran as fast, if not faster than the Gingerbread man, because the boys couldn’t get her. WELL DONE Aimee! Aimee you had great fun with the boys as you eluded the net every time (GO GIRL), even once I saw you climb up the net! I think at this stage the boys made a drastic change in there plans and I see by the photos on the blog they tried to capture Sam! Did they get you Sam!

I sure that one day you and Mac will have a successful hunting trip, only this time you will be catching a deer!

Lots of love
Mum and Dad
